Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Tel Aviv (Thursday)

Welcome to Tel Aviv, a city on Israel's Mediterranean coast. Upon arrival at the Ben Gurion Airport meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Overnight stay in Tel Aviv.

Day 2

Tel Aviv - Sea of Galilee - Tiberias (Friday)

After a breakfast meal, there is a pick-up arranged for you from the hotel. The tour drives to the port city of Jaffa (Joppa), a fortified town with picturesque alleys. Spend time on a walking tour and marvel at the old town. Pass by the House of Simon the Tanner and take in brilliant views from the hilltop. The tour then drives north along the coastal road via Maris to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honour of Augustus Caesar. From here, we go on to visit the ancient Megiddo, the Solomonic Chariot City. This is where the Book of Revelations mentions a great battle at the place called “Armageddon”, an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia (6000-500 BC.). After exploring the ancient ruins, we drive towards the Sea of Galilee, stopping at Cana to visit the Wedding Church. This is where Christ performed his first miracle, transforming water into wine. Arrive at Tiberias and check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Sea of Galilee (Saturday)

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and proceed on the tour. We visit the sites on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee. This is where many events of Jesus` life happened. The tour drives along the shore of the sea to Capernaum, on the bank of the Sea of Galilee – known as “His Town”, the centre of Jesus' ministry. Christ spent much time healing the sick and performing miracles here. Proceed on to Tabgha, the site of Christs' miracle of feeding the 5000. It is traditionally accepted as the miracle place where the multiplication of the loaves and fishes occurred. Visit the Church of Multiplication, where the mosaic floor depicts a basket with loaves and two fishes, and the Church of the Primacy of St Peter, commemorating Jesus’ reinstatement of Peter as chief among the Apostles. The tour continues to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the sea, where Jesus preached the “Sermon on the Mount”. It is believed that Christ picked his 12 apostles here. Ascend to the Golan Heights to view the panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Hermon and the rugged Golan Plateau. We continue to visit Banias (Caesarea Philippi), one of the sources of the River Jordan, where Jesus took his disciples, revealing His purpose and His Church before His last trip to Jerusalem and where Simon identified Jesus as the Messiah. The tour then drives to the southern part of the Sea of Galilee to visit the Yardenit Baptismal site Return back to Tiberias for another overnight stay in the town.

Day 4

Nazareth - Jordan Valley - Beit Alpha - Jerusalem (Sunday)

After breakfast, the tour continues on a sail across the Sea of Galilee (subject to conditions and fee). Embrace the tranquillity and the unchanged scenes from the past 2000 years. Tour through the Galilee to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe that the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. You will also see the spiritual sites of Mary’s Well and Joseph’s Church. Go on to visit the ancient synagogue at Beit Alpha, located at the foot of the northern slopes of the Gilboa Mountains which has one of the most preserved and beautiful mosaics in Israel. The tour continues on a drive through the Jordan Valley, passing by Jericho, before ascending through the Judean Mountains to Jerusalem. Overnight stay at your booked Jerusalem hotel.

Day 5

Masada - Dead Sea (Monday)

Today after a tasty breakfast, travel through the splendid scenery of the Dead Sea to Masada. It is located on an isolated cliff in the Judean Desert. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Proceed onwards to ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, King Herod’s Palace, the synagogue, bathhouse and much more. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea below. Also, the tour includes a visit to the site of the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Nearly 1,300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth’s surface. Bring your swimsuit as if weather permits it is possible to “float” on the salty, mineral-rich water. Return to Jerusalem for an overnight stay.

Day 6

Jerusalem (Tuesday)

Starting the day after breakfast, the tour takes you to visit the Shrine of The Book, a part of the Israel Museum that houses the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Then we visit the beautifully renovated Holyland Model of Jerusalem that dates back to the time of the Second Temple. Visit Yad Vashem, the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953. It is located at the foot of Mt.Herzl. Enjoy Ein Karem which is a picturesque village in the southwestern outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village has great significance in Christian traditions since this is where John the Baptist was born. Visit Bethlehem - the birthplace of Jesus at the Church of the Nativity and Manger Square. Return back to your booked Jerusalem hotel.

Day 7

Jerusalem (Wednesday)

Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and proceed on the tour. Enter the Old City of Jerusalem where you will see the Western Wall and the actual site of the Second Temple, the Temple Mount. Walk the Way of the Cross, The Via Dolorosa, a processional route in the Old City of Jerusalem. It represents the route that Jesus took to crucifixion. Proceed onwards to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, housing both the traditional site of the crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. To the southwest, just outside the Old City, is Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus spent his last night and was betrayed by Judas. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem - the holy city of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, from atop the Mount of Olives. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
