All travelers must have a valid passport to apply for a Saudi Arabia visa. The passport needs to be valid for six months beyond the date of return. The passport must have at least two blank pages as well. This is an important Saudi Visa requirement.

Visa-on-Arrival/eVisa/ Visa Free Entry

Visa-free entry is available for citizens from the following countries, namely Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE.

Until recently, Saudi Arabia did not issue a Saudi tourist visa and only offered a Hajj visa for religious pilgrimages or Saudi Arabia work visas. The government has now launched an online application for an eVisa in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia tourist visa online was enabled in September 2019 under which the citizens of the following countries could register for Saudi Arabia visas before arrival or obtain a Saudi Arabia visa on arrival.

On January 2, 2020, it was announced that citizens of the USA, UK, or Schengen visa holders are also eligible for eVisa Saudi Arabia upon arrival. However, this eligibility is available through airlines such as Saudia, Saudi Gulf Airlines, Flynas and Flyadeal.

Types of Visa and Validity

Hajj visas is a special visa category for Muslims and the Saudi visa application can be done via a licensed travel agent. Muslim female passengers have to be accompanied by an immediate male family member traveling in the group. The Hajj visa fee is SAR 300 and the validity of the visa is 30 days. The total stay must not exceed 15 days from the date of entry.

Saudi Arabia tourist visa/Saudi visit visa is now much easier to obtain via the eVisa program. eVisa validity is up to 3 months, single entry visa allows for 30 days of stay while multiple entry visa allows for a stay up to 3 months. The eVisa cost is SAR 440 that includes the health insurance fee as well. Saudi Arabia tourist application form can be obtained at one of the Saudi diplomatic missions or online. Saudi business visa is valid for 180 days with a 30 days duration of stay or a 730 days validity with a 90-day duration of stay. The fee for a Saudi business visa is SAR 2000.
