Via Air

The best way of reaching Riyadh is via air as it is the best, quickest and cheapest means of reaching the country. Several airlines like Emirates, flyadeal and Flynas operate flights between Dubai and Riyadh. Making access to the country quite convenient and hassle-free.

Via Sea

The oceanic route of reaching Riyadh from the UAE will take you on a cruise that will be roughly a 2-day cruise on the sea. And another 410 km ride from the King Abdulaziz Seaport in Dammam to the city of Riyadh. We would recommend this option only if you are a sea lover and have days to spare.

Via Road

A road trip from Dubai to Riyadh is roughly a 998 km long journey and would take roughly 1.5 days to complete with stops and layovers.

Local Transportation

Public transport in Riyadh is limited to bus transport. The cities public transport system is not as developed as Dubai's. But slowly and steadily is starting to become more developed. The city plans on launching green buses which will cover all the corners of the city and would work on a prepaid card system. There are also plans of metro lines that are in the pipeline and would connect all the major locations in the city of Riyadh. And reduce road traffic and carbon emissions on the roads. There are also intercity high-speed trains that operate between Jeddah, Mecca, Medina, Riyadh and other cities in the country of Saudi Arabia.

Taxi

The easiest and the simplest modes of transportation in the city of Riyadh are taxies. One may find both state-run and local taxis. In both scenarios, the taxi is a bit expensive compared to the bus. But gives you more mobility in comparison to the set bus route. Also, keep in mind to bargain with the local taxi drivers before sitting in the back. There are also several private taxi and limousine operators in the city. Where you can book a car for the entire day or week depending on your usage.

Car

The next best thing to a taxi is renting your own car from the many car rental services in Riyadh. The cheapest rental that one may end up paying can be SAR 100 for a day. For a basic hatchback.
