Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Paris

  • On arrival, we'll take you to your hotel, where you can unwind and enjoy some free time.
  • Later in the afternoon, find details about the exciting journey that lies ahead on the bulletin boards placed at the hotel reception.

Day 2

Paris City Tour, Versailles & Montmartre

  • Step into French history at the magnificent Palace of Versailles (admission not included) and stroll through its enchanting gardens.
  • Upon our return to Paris, we will visit Montmartre, a charming bohemian neighborhood renowned for its rich artistic heritage, including painters, artists, and historic cabarets.
  • The region is popular for its artists, cabarets, and breathtaking views, Montmartre is a feast for the senses.
  • Experience Paris's panoramic city tour showcasing the city’s impressive iconic avenues and monuments on a city tour with a local guide.
  • Return to the hotel for the night or immerse yourself in an optional vibrant variety of shows.

Day 3

Eiffel Tower & Seine River Cruise

  • Our day begins at the heart of Paris with a visit to the Eiffel Tower.
  • Enjoy the unparalleled views from the second floor of this iconic structure (ticket included).
  • Next, we’ll embark on a serene boat cruise along the River Seine, marveling at the city’s stunning skyline.
  • The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your leisure. (transfer back to the hotel not included).

Please Note: Due to potential long waits, the Eiffel Tower visit might be rescheduled for organizational convenience.

Day 4

Paris - Burgundy - Beaune - Lyon

  • Today, we journey to the picturesque Bourgogne region, renowned for its wines.
  • In Beaune, you'll wander through its flower-lined streets, visit the hospice, and explore the wine museum.
  • Our adventure continues to Lyon, the historic capital of Roman Gallia, beautifully situated on the banks of the Rhône.
  • We’ll take a cable car to Notre Dame de Fourvière for spectacular views of the city.
  • Enjoy some free time to explore Lyon's charming streets.

Please Note: In some cases, part of the group will stay in Chambéry, a city near Lyon. In these instances, we’ll travel to Chambéry in the evening for an overnight stay. In the morning, you’ll have time to visit this medieval-style city, the capital de la Saboya, known for its beautiful historic center and impressive castle

Day 5

Lyon - Geneva - Zurich

  • Prepare for breathtaking vistas as we set off for Switzerland.
  • Arriving in Geneva, we’ll pass the Palais des Nations and enjoy the serene English Garden and its famous flower clock, along with the majestic "Jet d'Eau" fountain.
  • Post-lunch, (At your own expense) we’ll traverse the scenic roads beside Lake Geneva and Lake Neuchatel, stopping to explore Neuchatel’s historic centre and its 10th-century castle.
  • We then head to Zurich, arriving in the late afternoon.

Note: Depending on the group size, this segment might be completed by train, omitting the stop in Neuchatel.

Day 6

Arrival in Zurich

  • Join our guide for a tour of Zurich, Switzerland’s bustling financial and cultural hub, celebrated for its exceptional quality of life.
  • We’ll enjoy a nearly two-hour cruise on Lake Zurich, with stops at charming lakeside villages, disembarking in Rapperswil to explore its medieval castle.
  • A scenic train ride back to Zurich will showcase the Swiss railway’s famed efficiency.

Note: Transfers may be via public transport based on the group size.

Day 7

Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich

  • Today’s itinerary features stunning alpine landscapes and serene lakes.
  • Our first stop is Grindelwald, where you’ll savour a coffee before taking a cable car up the mountain.
  • Walk along a winding path to a suspended bridge, surrounded by spectacular glacier views.
  • After lunch on the mountain (included), we’ll descend and head to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities, perfect for a stroll.
  • We’ll return to Zurich in the evening.

Please Note : An optional full-day tour to Mount Titlis is available, offering panoramic views of glaciers and the Alps from over 3000 meters above sea level.

Day 8

Departure

  • After a delightful breakfast, your journey concludes, leaving you with a treasure trove of unforgettable memories.

About the Tour

Why Pair Paris with the Swiss Alps

France and Switzerland sit side by side, yet they offer very different weeks away: one the grand boulevards and museums of Paris, the other lakes, mountain villages and some of the highest peaks in Europe. This Europe tour package from the UAE joins the two by road through Burgundy and Lyon, so you see the countryside in between rather than flying over it.

Paris, Versailles and Burgundy

Paris needs little introduction. The Eiffel Tower, a cruise on the Seine and the artists’ quarter of Montmartre on its hill are the classic first-visit sights, and the city’s cafés, bakeries and department stores fill any free hours. Just outside the city, the Palace of Versailles and its formal gardens were the seat of the French court from the 17th century until the Revolution.
Heading south, Beaune is the wine capital of Burgundy, known for its medieval hospice with its patterned tiled roof, and Lyon, France’s gastronomic capital, is watched over by the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière on the hill above the old town.

Geneva, Zurich and the Bernese Oberland

Across the border, Geneva sits at the end of its lake with the Jet d’Eau fountain and the Palais des Nations, European home of the United Nations. Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, has a compact old town on the River Limmat and a lake busy with cruise boats, and the medieval castle town of Rapperswil lies at its far end.

The highlight for many is the day in the Bernese Oberland. At Grindelwald, a gondola climbs to First at 2,168 metres, where a cliff walk cantilevered out from the rock face looks straight across at the north face of the Eiger. Lucerne, with its covered wooden Chapel Bridge and lakeside promenade, rounds off the day.

Planning your Europe trip

This France and Switzerland tour package suits couples, friends and families who want a classic European itinerary with a guide on sightseeing days and the travel between cities handled. Early December in the Alps is cold, so pack a proper winter coat, gloves and sturdy shoes alongside lighter layers for Paris. Timed around the UAE National Day break, the tour uses the longer window after the holiday and works at other times of year too. Schengen visa rules apply, so check the Visa Info section before you book.

  • Travelwings reserves the right to amend or cancel a confirmed tour due to operational reasons or circumstances beyond its control. In case of cancellation by Travelwings, the client may be offered an alternative arrangement or a refund as applicable
  • If the client cancels the booking, the cancellation will be subject to the applicable Cancellation Policy.
  • Travelwings will not be held responsible for any additional compensation, costs, or expenses arising from such cancellation.
  • If the visa is not specified in the package, it is not included. Please note that the final decision regarding visa applications rests solely with the respective Embassy/Consulate.
  • Travelwings have nothing to do with any last-minute changes in Visa requirements and regulations of the country.
  • In the event of visa rejection by the Embassy, or if the customer is offloaded at the airport or denied entry or departure by immigration authorities, the visa fees will be non-refundable. Any applicable package cancellation charges or penalties will also apply in accordance with the prevailing Cancellation Policy.
  • The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the return date of departure. Client’s responsibility to obtain correct, current, and valid passports and re-entry permits where required. Please reach out to our team if you need any help with this.
  • Any changes or delays in flight schedules are at the sole discretion of the airline. We recommend checking your flight status 24 hours prior to departure, as schedules may change without notice.
  • Food and seat selection vary by flight. If not included, they are chargeable and subject to availability according to the airline's policy.
  • For group departures, if the airline allows us to pre-book food and seat selection for an additional charge, we will do so for the guest. In cases where the airline doesn't allow pre-booking, the guest may book food and seats at the counter or directly with the airline during boarding, subject to availability.
  • The food menu (Veg/Non-Veg) is determined by the airline and hotel policies, and we have no control over it.
  • For the extra tour/ optional tour, English Speaking Driver cum guide will be provided if it's less than 3 pax
  • In case the selected hotel is unavailable due to an unexpected situation, an alternate arrangement will be offered to the customer in a hotel of a similar category.
  • The availability of adjoining rooms/ interconnecting rooms/non-smoking rooms/rooms on the same floor etc. cannot be guaranteed.
  • Room type (double or twin) is subject to availability and is at the sole discretion of the hotel.
  • Standard hotel check-in time is 1400 Hours and check-out time is 1100 Hours local time. It may vary based on destinations and availability.
  • At the time of check-in to your hotel, the hotel may ask you to make an advance/security deposit (the amount depends upon the hotel policy). This amount is refunded at the time of check-out, minus the cost of any items taken from the mini-bar or other charges (like late check-out or any damages done to the room).
  • All tours and transfers by sharing coach on the group, the client should follow the timing on the ground. If any transfer is missed, Travelwings will not be responsible, and the client will bear the extra cost
  • Any ticket to attractions, museums, trains, cable cars, ferries, rides, safari, etc. is not included unless explicitly mentioned as an inclusion.
  • The activity/sightseeing changes are subject to availability and operational days, the itinerary might change due to the same on ground.
  • If any service or tour is canceled on-site due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide an alternative sightseeing option or issue a refund for the specific service or tour affected.
  • If any service or tour is missed by the guest, the package price will remain unchanged, and no refund will be provided for the unused service.
  • If you face any issues during the tour, inform the Travelwings representative immediately for prompt resolution, as we cannot address them after the tour is completed.
  • Customers are fully responsible to carry proper travel documentation (make sure that all travel documents are valid and complete and check the entry requirements for your upcoming trip before you travel).
  • No refund can be given for air tickets and partially used services.
  • We do not accept any responsibility if the passenger cannot travel because of any passport or visa issue.
  • The above mention cancellation policy will apply from the day of the initial booking date.
