Post this the group will move on to Dilijan, which is often referred to as the “Switzerland” of Armenia and a town of the famous Armenian artisans. We will also tour the outskirts of Dilijan National Park which lies on the edge of the town.
Before we return to Yerevan the group will make one final stop at the Tsaghkadzor Ski Resort, where the group will gather at the summit of Mount Teghenis for a panoramic view of the beautiful town of Tsaghkadzor, often known as the “valley of flowers”. Post this we will return to Yerevan for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

Valley “Symphony of Stones”

Day three will begin with a hearty Armenian breakfast in Yerevan. Post that the group will depart for the Kotayk region where we will visit the pagan temple of Garni, an ionic temple built in the Hellenistic period (77 AD) on a triangular promontory surrounded by deep gorges. The Azat Canyon is a place particularly known for its formations of basalt columns called the "Symphony of the stones". In the village of Garni, we will witness the ceremony of traditional lavash, Armenian bread baking by the women of the village (UNESCO Heritage from 2014). We will visit Geghard (UNESCO), a 13th-century rock-carved monastery, which once housed the spear that was used to pierce the side of Jesus Christ.
Post this the group will visit the “Ararat” Brandy Factory and Museum, where we will discover a wonderful world where history intertwines with modernity and tradition, with the generosity of the land and with the creative passion of masters. The history of the oldest brand of Armenian brandy Ararat began more than 130 years ago, in 1887, when the first brandy production in Armenia was founded. The evening in Yerevan will be dedicated to the tasting of Arabic traditional typical cuisine in the heart of Yerevan, in a typical Arabic restaurant.
