Book 4N Glamping at AlUla, Saudi Arabia Vacation. Glamp at AlUla, the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for yourself and see the well-preserved ancient wonders yourself. This winter, we invite you to explore the archived and ancient history of the Arabian Peninsula and discover its secrets. Our custom-tailored package ensures a luxurious stay within canyons, in the middle of the desert, in the shadows of these sites. Is there anything holding you back? Don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Day one of your tour will commence with your arrival at the Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Saudi Arabia. At the airport, you will be welcomed by our representative, who will receive you and facilitate your transfer to Caravan by Habitas AlUla Hotel, where you will arrive by road in a private car.
In the evening get a glimpse into AlUla’s not-so-distant past via the AlUla Old Town Tour. A Rawi (guide) will lead you through AlUla Old Town, where pilgrims, travellers and permanent settlers congregated through the ages. Inhabited from before the 12th century up until the early 1980s, AlUla Old Town offers researchers unique oral histories and living memory that the area’s other heritage sites cannot.
With 900 houses, 500 shops, and 5 town squares, you can explore a maze of remnants of original stone and mud brick buildings and enjoy views of the AlUla Castle that dates back to the 10th century. The guest will learn about Old Town’s settlers and pilgrims, as well as their motives and methods in the city’s construction. Overnight stay in AlUla in the comforts of your hotel.
After a hearty Arabic breakfast at the Habitas in AlUla, you will transfer to the Winter Park for a tour starting at 8 am. Visit Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest preserved site of the Nabataean civilisation south of Petra. Home to more than 110 tombs carved from giant rock formations, this ancient site is open for visitors to explore and learn about the culture, traditions, and history of its people. Set in golden desert sands and climbing 3 stories into the Saudi Arabian sky lies the awe-inspiring Elephant Rock, also known as Jabal Al-Fil. Unlike the ornate, hand-carved facades of nearby Hegra’s Nabataean tombs, the "trunk" and "body" of this monolithic red sandstone beast were shaped by millions of years of wind and water erosion. The beauty of the unrefined structure is enhanced by a landscape of golden sands, studded with rocky outcrops, many of which are equally impressive in size and have interesting shapes and figures. Post this you will transfer back to the resort followed by an overnight stay.
The final day of the journey will start with an excellent breakfast at the Hotel. After this, you will be transferred to Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz Airport for your flight back, with memories of a beautiful trip across AlUla and its many wonders.
