This Korea Express 6N/7D package tour will take the patrons on a tour across South Korea while touching all the major cities in the country.
Starting from Seoul, Suwon, Jeonju, Haeinsa, Damyang and Busan, the tour will allow the patrons to experience first-hand local culture, cuisine and creatives that the country has to offer. The Korea express package also allows customers to go on a local street food tour and help them understand how traditions and cultures have shaped the cuisine found in South Korea.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Seoul

  • The journey begins with the arrival at the Seoul International Airport. Where you will be met and accompanied by our local representative at the departure gates.
  • Post which you will be escorted to the bus where you will have some time to click pictures and grab a snack until all the members of the tour board the bus. On reaching the hotel the check-in process will begin after which the group will join back in the lobby. Where the group will be introduced to the local guide. The first thing that the guide will do is give a crash course to the group on how to use public transport in South Korea as it is a little complex, if it is your first time and explore the rest of the day
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 2

Seoul

  • After breakfast, group will be heading to Aegibong Observatory in GIMPO
  • Visit to the Aegibong Observatory in GIMPO, very close to the border with NORTH KOREA, from where it is possible to clearly see North Korean territory. Transfer to the Paju Demilitarized Zone (DMZ Imjingang), where lunch is included. We will see the National Memorial and Mangbaedan Altar, the Imjingak Pavilion Temple, a symbol of peace, and take a cable car ride (included) to observe from above the areas near the Military Demarcation Line. Finally, we will stop at the Freedom Bridge, a symbol of hope and reunion.
  • Later, with our guide, we will go to the square where City Hall is located to see this building from the outside, notable for its wave-like (tsunami-shaped) design. Across from City Hall is Deoksugung Palace, which, when illuminated at night, allows us to appreciate the blend of tradition and modernity in this country. We will then walk to the Myeongdong district, the largest commercial and entertainment area in Korea; its name means “bright tunnel.”
  • Dinner is included at a local restaurant. Return by Seoul’s modern subway system (ticket included). Overnight stay.
  • *Important Note: Please remember to bring your passport; it is mandatory. The DMZ is a military area and may be closed without prior notice. If this occurs, an alternative tour will be provided.

Day 3

Seoul

  • The morning of the second day will begin with a nice breakfast followed by a five-hour tour across the city of Seoul.
  • The first location of the tour will begin at the Changdeokgung Palace, which is home to a cluster of big mansions in the heart of a park. It is also a UNESCO world heritage site. The next location that the tour takes the group to is the Bukchon Hanok village. Which is a traditional historical neighbourhood with small houses. The next location on the tour is a war memorial and a war museum. That showcases the different conflicts that engulfed the country throughout its history. In particular, the Korean war with the United Nations. That witnessed soldiers from many countries taking part in it.
  • After this, the tour continues on to the Gangnam district, which is one of the busiest districts of the city. With access to several shopping and leisure centres. The final destination for the day would be a stop at the LOTTE World Tower. Which is an impressive 550-metre tall building, allowing the visitors to climb the tower. Or explore the numerous shopping centres at the location or take a stroll in the park. Lunch is part of the tour and returns to the centre with free time at your own leisure.

Day 4

Seoul → Suwon → Jeonju

  • Day three begins with an early morning breakfast at the hotel. After check-out we head to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Which is a six hundred years old property, where the guard changing ceremony takes place.
  • After that, the tour will head to the city of Suwon, which was the former capital of South Korea. And a popular world heritage site famous for its ‘Heritage Walls Of Mankind’. The next location will be the Samsung Innovation museum, where the group will learn about the company’s history.
  • The next location of the tour will be Hwaseong Haenggung Palace. Which is also called the ‘summer palace’ and has an impressive wall for its major defence and fortifications.
  • After this, lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Post which the tour will head on out to Jeonju. Where the group will get a chance to explore the fascinating old town (Hanok Village), with its tiny houses, traditional shops and art galleries. The evening will be at your own leisure.

Day 5

Jeonju → Damyang → Haeinsa → Busan

  • On day five the morning will begin with breakfast in Jeonju. Visit Sunchang Gochujang Village and enjoy a hands-on experience learning how traditional Korean chili paste is made. Continue to Damyang to explore the beautiful Juknokwon Bamboo Forest and Bamboo Museum. Enjoy an included local lunch featuring rice cooked in bamboo
  • Later, visit Haeinsa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Korea’s most important Buddhist temples.
  • Continue to Busan for hotel check-in and overnight stay

Day 6

Busan- Seoul

  • Day six will begin with a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Busan. Visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a beautiful seaside Buddhist temple. Return to Busan and visit the United Nations Memorial Cemetery, followed by the city’s famous fish market near Nampo Port. Lunch included.
  • Continue to Yongdusan Park before boarding the high-speed train to Seoul at around 4:00 PM. Arrive in Seoul, transfer to the hotel, and overnight stay.
  • Arrival at the hotel in Seoul. Overnight stay.

Day 7

Departure

  • Day six will begin with an early morning breakfast at the hotel in Seoul. Post which the group will be transferred to the hotel for their respective flight’s back home.
