Day 1
Arrival in SEOUL
The journey begins with the arrival at the Seoul International Airport. Where you will be met and accompanied by our local representative at the departure gates. Post which you will be escorted to the bus where you will have some time to click pictures and grab a snack until all the members of the tour board the bus. On reaching the hotel the check-in process will begin after which the group will join back in the lobby. Where the group will be introduced to the local guide. The first thing that the guide will do is give a crash course to the group on how to use public transport in South Korea as it is a little complex, if it is your first time.
After which we head on to the city hall to witness a contemporary architect design that looks like a tsunami. Just in front of the building lies the Deoksugung Palace, which every night comes alive with lights brightening up the exterior of the building. Making the palace evoke the essence of deep cultural values garlanded with contemporary stylings. Post this the group will head on to the district of Myeongdong. Which is South Korea’s largest and busiest shopping district, often called the “brilliant tunnel”. Post which the dinner is scheduled in a local restaurant. Followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
SEOUL
The morning of the second day will begin with a nice breakfast followed by a five-hour tour across the city of Seoul. The first location of the tour will begin at the Changdeokgung Palace, which is home to a cluster of big mansions in the heart of a park. It is also a UNESCO world heritage site. The next location that the tour takes the group to is the Bukchon Hanok village. Which is a traditional historical neighbourhood with small houses. The next location on the tour is a war memorial and a war museum. That showcases the different conflicts that engulfed the country throughout its history. In particular, the Korean war with the United Nations. That witnessed soldiers from many countries taking part in it.
After this, the tour continues on to the Gangnam district, which is one of the busiest districts of the city. With access to several shopping and leisure centres. The final destination for the day would be a stop at the LOTTE World Tower. Which is an impressive 550-metre tall building, allowing the visitors to climb the tower. Or explore the numerous shopping centres at the location or take a stroll in the park. Lunch is part of the tour and returns to the centre with free time at your own leisure.
Day 3
SEOUL → SUWON → JEONJU
Day three begins with an early morning breakfast at the hotel. After check-out we head to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Which is a six hundred years old property, where the guard changing ceremony takes place. After that, the tour will head to the city of Suwon, which was the former capital of South Korea. And a popular world heritage site famous for its ‘Heritage Walls Of Mankind’. The next location will be the Samsung Innovation museum, where the group will learn about the company’s history. The next location of the tour will be Hwaseong Haenggung Palace. Which is also called the ‘summer palace’ and has an impressive wall for its major defence and fortifications.
After this, lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Post which the tour will head on out to Jeonju. Where the group will get a chance to explore the fascinating old town (Hanok Village), with its tiny houses, traditional shops and art galleries. The evening will be at your own leisure.
Day 4
JEONJU → HAEINSA → DAEGU → BUSAN
On day four the morning will begin with breakfast in Jeonju. Post breakfast the group will head to Haeinsa. The location lies amidst impressive mountain forestry and houses a Buddhist temple built in the year 802. The location is also home to Tripitaka, which houses a massive collection of Buddhist texts engraved on eighty thousand wooden blocks. After an excursion of Tripitaka’ temple and museum, the group will head on to Daegu.
Daegu is a region popular for the growth and use of traditional medicinal herbs. The most popular is ginseng, which has a lot of history housed in the Museum of Oriental Medicine. Post lunch, the group will go to Busan. Which is one of the second-largest cities in South Korea. On arrival post-check-in at the hotel, we would head on to the Doosan Haeundae complex. For a view of the massive skyscrapers that adorn the city’s skyline.
Day 5
BUSAN → SEOUL
Day five will begin with a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Busan. After breakfast, the tour will head out for a visit to Haedong Yonggung. It is a 14th-century Buddhist temple located on the Busan coast. The temple also houses a United Nations memorial, which is the resting place of soldiers from different countries killed during the war. Next, the tour will go to the largest fishing market of the city that lies on the Nampo Port.
Post which lunch will be served in one of the popular restaurants of the market. After lunch, the tour will continue with a walk to Yongdusan Park. It houses a massive one hundred and twenty meters tall pagoda. Post which the group will board a high-speed train at around five-thirty. That will begin its three-hour-long journey back to Seoul. On reaching the city of Seoul, the group will be checked-in to a hotel.
Day 6
DEPARTURE
Day six will begin with an early morning breakfast at the hotel in Seoul. Post which the group will be transferred to the hotel for their respective flight’s back home.
