Classic Spain Cultural Trail – Madrid, Granada, Seville & Barcelona

Day 1

MADRID

• Welcome to Madrid!
• Upon arrival at the airport, we’ll be ready to transfer you to your hotel. You’ll have some free time until the tour begins.
• Please check the information signs in the hotel reception area for details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers.
• In the evening, we’ll provide a transfer to Plaza Mayor and La Latina, Madrid’s most famous neighborhood for nightlife and tapas restaurants. You can choose to dine at a restaurant of your preference—options include Indian, Chinese, Spanish, and Middle Eastern cuisines.

Day 2

MADRID

• The morning will begin with a comprehensive tour of central Madrid, featuring highlights like Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and Plaza Mayor.
• We’ll then visit Retiro Park, a beautiful oasis in the city center, where we’ll see the lake and the Palacio de Cristal. Admission is included to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home of Real Madrid, considered by many to be the best football club in the world.
• Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. In the evening, we’ll provide a return transfer to the hotel.

Day 5

SEVILLE - ZARAGOZA

• In the morning, we’ll include a panoramic tour of the city. You’ll visit the cathedral and its famous Giralda, the banks of the Guadalquivir River, and the popular neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. After the tour, we’ll include a boat ride on the Guadalquivir River.
• In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the station to board the high-speed train, scheduled to depart around 4:30 p.m., covering the 850 km to Zaragoza in just under four hours. Upon arrival in Zaragoza, you’ll be transferred to the hotel.

Note: The train journey will be without an accompanying Europamundo guide.

Day 6

ZARAGOZA - POBLET - BARCELONA

• We’ll start the day with a morning panoramic tour of Zaragoza guided by a local expert.
• Our first stop will be the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. We´ll also delve into the works of the famous painter Goya and discover some of his masterpieces.
• The tour will move on to the Roman theatre and a Renaissance palace, and then we’ll take a stroll by the Aljafería Palace.
• After lunch, we’ll head to Catalonia to visit the Poblet Abbey, a stunning walled monastery set amidst beautiful scenery. It is one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world (tickets included). Our journey will then take us to Barcelona, where we’ll arrive in the evening.

Day 7

BARCELONA

• In the morning, we include a panoramic tour of BARCELONA, considered one of Europe’s most fascinating capitals.
• Open to the Mediterranean Sea, the city is renowned for Gaudí and its modernist architecture, as well as for its lively Ramblas and the legacy of the World Expositions and Olympic Games held here. Barcelona is often regarded as one of the most beautiful and captivating cities in Europe.
• The tour ends at the Maremagnum, a modern leisure and dining complex by the sea next to Columbus Square, where you can stroll through this lively area. Afternoon at leisure.
• Return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 8

BARCELONA

• After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
