Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Sal Island!

  • Arrive at Sal Island!
  • Welcome to Sal Island, transfer to your hotel, and enjoy free time before the tour briefing
  • Check in at the hotel (standard time approx 1400 hrs)
  • Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2

Full-Day Excursion to Sal Island

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
  • First stop at Murdeira Bay, with the opportunity to photograph Monte Leão and its natural beauty.
  • Then visit the fishing port village of Palmeira and Buracona, with its natural pool and the famous “Blue Eye”.
  • Visit “Terra Boa” for fun pictures of the “mirages”. After that, you then visit Espargos, the capital of the island, and then “Sharks Bay” to wade with the reef sharks.
  • An unforgettable visit to Pedra de Lume salt pans with an opportunity to float in the Salt Lake that is 26 times saltier than seawater.
  • Lunch in a local restaurant. You have the opportunity to choose between Fish, meat, or the local dish “Catchupa”. Vegetarian meals available on request.
  • A truly unique experience.
  • Hours: 09:00 to 17:00. Participants: Min 06
  • Departs: Monday / Wednesday / Friday (Subject to change depending on availability)
  • Included: Lunch with a drink and coffee.
  • Not included: Entrance fee to the Salt Flats (€6), freshwater shower at the Salt Flats (€1), ecological fee for the
  • visit to Buracona (€5), and an ecological fee at Shark Bay (€3), where local guides assist visitors in observing the
  • sharks.
  • All fees are to be paid separately on-site.

  • The standard check-in time at the hotel is 1400/1500 hours, while the check-out time is 1100/1200 hours.
  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and will incur extra costs.
  • At the time of check-in to your hotel, the hotel may ask you to make an advance/security deposit (the amount depends upon the hotel policy). This amount is refunded at the time of check-out, minus the cost of any items taken from the mini-bar or other charges (like late check-out or any damage done to the room).
