Day 2
Dambulla
After relishing your breakfast, get ready for an amazing day exploring local nuances and vibes. The Village Tour begins with a tour of the village on a bullock cart. Enjoy the paddy fields and the beautiful environs for about an hour. Go on to take the traditional catamaran ride and enjoy sights of attractive birds and soothing lake water. After about an hour, the local community welcomes you to enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan lunch with fresh local food. Refresh with cold towels, tasty herbal drinks and enjoy the warm authentic local life. Walk around and catch a glimpse of traditional local life and its simplicity. Surround yourself with vegetables and herbs and probably climb a treehouse as you continue to enjoy your day.
Habarana is located 210 kilometres North-East from Colombo. Witness the large herds of wild elephants at the National Parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla. Get ready to amaze yourself with the Elephant Safari, a four-hour activity. The ride takes you through jungles, villages, swamps, rivers and pathways, a unique way to enthral yourself. Day 3
Dambulla- Kandy
Relish your morning breakfast and transfer to Kandy. En-route, visit the Matale Spice Garden and be amazed at the variety of spices grown here. See how it is grown and processed and the benefits of different spices. View a cooking demonstration and be in awe of the lip-smacking local cuisines. Overnight stay in Kandy.

After breakfast, go on to Sembuwatta Lake situated at Elkaduwa in the Matale District of Sri Lanka, adjacent to the Campbell's Lane Forest Reserve. Enjoy the cool environment with your family here at this alluring man-made lake. Cooldown by the natural swimming pool made of crystal clear spring water. The Sembuwatta Lake is believed to be 9 m (30 ft) to 12 m (39 ft) deep. It is located on top of a mountain surrounded by pine trees. The lake also helps the neighboring villages by producing electricity and belongs to the Elkaduwa Plantations. Overnight stay at Kandy.
Day 5
Kandy
After a tasty breakfast, take the Kandy City Tour and visit the Arts and Crafts Center/ Gem Museum / Lapidary. Here you can witness the art of working in stone and creating small objects from gem material. You also get to view a cultural dance and explore the local vibes at the town and bazaar. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 6
Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, transfer to Nuwara Eliya. En-route, visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture. This beautiful botanical expanse covers 60 hectares with over 4000 different types of plant species, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Stroll along the Peradeniya Garden pathway among tall trees of almost 10,000 in number, most of them being timber trees. Look out for the famous Giant Bamboo of Burma that can grow to 40 meters in height with a 10-inch stem diameter. It grows as rapidly as 30cms a day!
Go on to visit the Tea Factory & Tea Plantation. Ceylon Tea has made the beautiful hill station famous with its natural landscapes and gorgeous tea gardens. The area is abound with nature's beauty including a number of waterfalls such as the Ramboda Waterfall. It also boasts of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.
This tiered waterfall drops from a height of 109 m and is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The fall is along the Panna Oya River, a tributary of the Kotmale Oya. It is situated in the Pussellawa area on the A5 national highway. The Ramboda Waterfall is a nice place to unwind and spend some time in the pools in front of the falls. The falls are at an altitude of 945 m above sea level. So enjoy the cool weather and a lovely dip. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 7
Nuwara Eliya
After a delicious breakfast, go on to explore Nuwara Eliya or 'the city of lights`. Enjoy the Nuwara Eliya City Tour and witness the colonial heritage. Go past the quaint English styled red-bricked buildings, stylish golf courses, Hill Club, Race Course where horse racing takes place regularly. The Sri Lankan hill station is also called 'Little England' as it looks like little English villages. Witness the sprawling tea plantations, colorful landscapes with flowers in full bloom, and go on a calming boat ride in the beautiful Lake Gregory. Overnight stay at the beautiful hill station.
Day 8
Nuwara Eliya - Bentota
After a tasty breakfast, transfer to Bentota. Spend your day at leisure at the resort town with its long Bentota Beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9
Bentota
After a healthy breakfast, enjoy your day in the warm, placid ocean waters of the Bentota Lagoon. Dive in the thrill of water sports activities, a year-long activity, such as wind-surfing, canoeing, water-skiing, banana-boating and deep-sea fishing. The waters around the lighthouse are welcoming with many local shops hiring out gear for water sports activities. They also provide lessons from trained instructors, so you stay safe in the ocean and have a delightful time.
Go on to take the Madu River boat ride. It is a treat to experience the calm waters of the Madu Ganga, a shallow water body that enters the Balapitiya Sea in south-west Sri Lanka. The wonderful experience is a 2-hour boat safari that takes you down the beautiful wetland estuary spreading over 900 hectares. Cruise through thick mangrove forests, a cinnamon plantation, a fish farm and enjoy mountainous backdrops. Buy a few cinnamon sticks here as the inhabitants of the islet produce peeled cinnamon and cinnamon oil. Discover the untouched mangrove forests and pass by several islands in this lovely Madu River safari. Overnight stay in Bentota.
Day 10
Departure Bentota
After breakfast, depart to the airport for your flight back home.
