Day 1
Welcome To Belgrade
Arrive at Belgrade and we would escort you to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel, check-in and spend your time until the afternoon at leisure. In the afternoon, venture off on a panoramic tour of Belgrade and catch sights of its wonderful attractions, such as the Belgrade Fortress. The city is the capital of Serbia and is located at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. Hence, it makes for an amazing getaway for tourists.
Visit it and witness the age-old Serbian culture and lifestyle across its streets and markets. Learn about the history of the country at the ancient sites of Belgrade. You also get to explore the city center on a walking tour with professional guides. The major places you cover on the first day of excursion in Belgrade include the Belgrade Fortress, the National Theatre, the Republic Square, the Victor Monument, the Monument of Prince Mihailo, the Knez Mihailova Street, the Patriarchate and other churches and important attractions.
Day 2
Eastern Excursions
The second day starts with a healthy nutritious breakfast followed by an excursion to Eastern Serbia. Visit Golubac Fortress, the 14th-century castle standing strong with innumerable legends to whisper. Explore its beauty and learn how the fortress played an important role in building the ancient kingdoms of Serbia.
From here, drive along the Danube River by which the fort is nestled and visit Lepenski Vir, the oldest settlement with the most urban plan in the world. Explore its charm and learn about its bygone era and move forward for lunch at a village farm. Relish traditional Serbian cuisine. Then, drive along with the Iron Gates and reach Djerdap Gorge. Sail down in a boat there and enjoy a great time cruising on the beautiful waters. Return to the hotel after an exciting day.
Day 3
Film-like Fascinating Frontiers
After breakfast, head towards the south-western parts of Serbia as the tour takes you from Belgrade to Zlatibor via Bajina Basta. While on the way, stop for a photoshoot at the Gate of Podrinje. Capture its beauty in your camera and frame memorable selfies. From there, drive down to the gorgeous town of Bajina Basta. Visit the spectacular views of the Vrelo River and its stunning waterfall.
Later on, after a break, reach the wooden town of Drvengrad. The town was created by a Serbian filmmaker for his movie Life is a Miracle. Drvengrad houses incredible churches, restaurants and more and hence, is a perfect weekend getaway for families and couples. From there, head towards the Zlatibor Mountain and then the selected hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4
Canyons, Mosques, Churches, And Calm
The fourth day starts with breakfast and resumes from Zlatibor. It is all about touring the beauties of Stopica Cave, Sirogojno Village, Uvac Canyon and Novi Pazar. Declared as the center of great cultural importance, Sirogojno Village is nestled high in the mountains in the midst of lush greenery. Hence, it makes for an amazing destination for explorers as well as nature lovers. Visit it and learn about the ancient culture and lifestyle of the country.
From here, reach Uvac Canyon on a jeep safari tour and catch glimpses of its spectacular meanders. Do bring along your camera as the place provides its visitors with incredible panoramas. The last stop of the day comes in the city of Novi Pazar. Visit it along with monasteries, churches, and mosques and take pleasure in capturing old-world architecture.
Day 5
Say Hello To History
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and reach the Church of St. Peter and Paul. Belonging to the 8th century, it is the oldest church in the Balkans and hence, a must-visit for history lovers and photographers. From here, drive through the national park of Kapaonik and then to the popular Devil’s Town. Witness its tall stone formations and enjoy its dramatic scenery.
Later on, continue to the ancient city of Nis to explore its ruins and remains from the past. Nis Fortress, Skull Tower and the remains of Mediana are certain places that would provide you an insight into its role in the chapters of history. Learn how the great empires in the medieval era that thrived in the region and changed the face of the country. After exploration, stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 6
Monasteries & Mausoleums
The sixth day of the trip takes on the tour from Nisa to Resava and back to Belgrade. Have an amazing breakfast and check out to explore the beauties of eastern Serbia at Pomoravlje. Visit it and learn about Serbian medieval history. The Monastery of Manasija located on the banks of the Resava River is another major attraction that would be covered during the trip.
The Krupajsko Springs, the mausoleum of Despot Stefan, Beljanica Mountain, Gornjak Monastery, Gornjacka Gorge, and Homolje Mountains are the other major spots that you would be visiting on your second last day. After the tour is complete, return to your hotel in Belgrade for an overnight stay.
Day 7
Departure
With the seventh day, the trip comes to an end. After breakfast, you are escorted to the airport to fly back home.
